Attendance: All in
Venue: Forum

Objectives
Objectives: Check on progress on report writing and continue doing on areas that we lack in.

Reflections
This shall be our last meeting together before submitting the report.
Time seriously flies. From Cambodia to report writing.
For now, time is not wasted in the meeting, as we go through the updates done together, doing up the changes. Currently the report lacks in acknowledgements and referencing, and I am put in charge of that. After that, all is well.

Although it might be our last meeting for FYP report submission, we still have the presentation. So let's continue this great teamwork till the end!

we definately can make it! Team 21!

Haris got back to us regarding our report.
There were many remarks and comments scribbed across our report, but still manageable.
After reading the comments together, the team brainstormed once again to improve on our report. Though left with 3 days before the submission, we are still feeling positive.

With the comments made by Haris, I suggested that we split up the work to work on the changes and additions.

Jasmine: Recommendations
Ju: Conclusion
Ash: Compilation and Alignment
Asri + Sherwin: Finish their logging

Asri and Sherwin has lost their passwords to their logging blog. Hopefully they can recall because we have to hand-in everything by Friday.

With 3 more DAYS , may we do well in all aspects!
Team 21, GO!

When
Date: Monday, November 24, 2008
Time: 4.45pm-5.45pm
Attendance: All
Venue: Library

Objectives
Objectives: Fine tune report, check for mistakes and update the log blog

Reflections
Checking the report once again, as we have compiled and done our individual roles.
The report currently spans at 20 plus pages without appendix.
I am kind of worried for the report, as it is totally different from my previous FYP project report. As my previous FYP report was research based (this FYP report is event execution based), I thought that our report was kind of short.

My previous FYP report was around 70 plus pages long. It made me felt a little uncomfortable because I am slightly afraid that we lack of content.

To get rid of the worries, the team have decided to send our compiled report to our advisor Haris to check if we are going towards the right direction. Hopefully, we are.

As I didn't have lessons on thursdays, I was slightly late, thus a delay in meeting. We were supposed to meet at 4.30pm instead.

As I have not received everyone's project writing, I could not compile our report. Luckily we started earlier, thus we have decided to have another week more to accomplish our tasks.
While everyone started on the report writing already, without wasting more time, we got together to discuss what was lacking in the content of our report.

With that in mind, we got more details in, and given our more work load to be accomplished in another week's time.

When

Date: Thursday, October 09, 2008
Time: 4.30pm-5.30pm
Attendance: All
Venue: Library

Objectives
Objectives: Allocate the different sections of report writing to different members
Jasmine – Introduction
Ju – Justification and Calculation of Budget spent
Sherwin – Methodologies
Asri – Difficulties that the team faced in planning the event
Ash – Marketing strategies that we used in promoting the event

Reflections
After meeting Haris, we got together to discuss the direction of our project writing.
I have to admit, after execution of the event in Cambodia trip, we weren't that stressed out.
However, we got a problem to decide what to write in our report as most of us were doing research based work for our previous FYP project.

Some research were done, and we picked out some key areas to be done.
As leader, I help to volunteer to compile the work after they finish and send it to all other for proof-read and editing.
Deadline of submission of the draft is next thursday.

Casting that aside, Ash was appointed as web log manager, as he has to do up the design for our blog as we promised to have a standardized look.

When

Meeting 14: Tuesday 09th September 2008
Time: 12pm
Attendance: jasmine, Ash, Ju, Sherwin
Absentee: Asri (poly forum)
Who we met: Advisor, Haris
Venue: Library

Objectives
Objectives: Discuss on the submission of proposal.

things to be done:
Blog for logging to be set up.
Decided to link the blogs together with a common layout.
Follow up work to be done by Sherwin to have updates from the delegates and centre in Cambodia.

Reflections
It is our first meeting ever since the Cambodia FYP trip.
It feels kind of weird to have everyone down, in the library, as we were much used to the small room upstairs in the restuarant we are staying in.

We got together with our advisors Haris once again, to discuss on how to write our report.
As we started much earlier than the others, we were given more time to work on it.

During the event, we got the namecards and contacts of the attendees.
Using those, Sherwin was given the task to contact the attendees, to find out if there is any improvement or business ties established between the centre and the event attendees. This is to check the result/efficiency of an industry event.

I was a little bit excited on how the attendees would reply.
The industry event was planned and executed with a lot of hard work and effort involved, thus I do hope that we have helped out the centre a bit with that effort put in.
Hope for positive replies!

When
Meeting 13: Thursday 21st August 2008
Time: 11.30am
Attendance: All
Venue: Guesthouse and Prolung Khmer

Objectives
Objectives: Confirming the collaterals, as well as site-recee, together with the guest list.
Items discussed/done: Collaterals are printed, both brochures as well as invitation cards, guest list is confirmed.

Reflections
Counting down: 1 day before event!
It is just one day before the event, and it seems like there is a million things that we have not done!

As we have to confirm the collaterals with centre's manager Yuko-san, we could not send out those invitations nor print them in bulks.

Ash and I were given the task to confirm design with manager Yuko-san and print them out, while the rest were given tasks, like logistic shopping and going through fringe events with the manpower.

Cambodia is totally different from Singapore. One of the worst thing is that, I cannot speak in the Malay language, and the ground handler can only speak Malay and Cambodian's Khmer. I thought I might become crazy. Thank god that I have Ash with me. I could not really communicate with the ground handler that I wanted to print my collaterals and for him to find me a printing shop. The fact that Cambodia isn't that technologically advanced, it took us quite sometime to find a correct shop. We went to about 3 wrong shops and places before we found one. However, Believe it or not, it took us around 4 hours just to print all of our 15 invitation cards and collaterals.

With that, Ash and I took a risk. By right, we have to meet Yuko-san before printing it in bulks, because if she is unhappy, we have to change our designs. Plus, she could only meet us as 6pm at night! It will be too late! With that in mind, we have decided to save time and printed everything. then we went to Yuko-san's hotel to show her the collaterals. Luckily for us, it was given the thumbs up.

then we gave out the invitation cards to everyone to invite the industry players down.
